At a recent SGS public meeting that Deisler Funeral Homes and W.L. Case's Funeral Homes were present for a presentation,
it was noted that Balthas Gugel, a licensed funeral director that owned and operated Gugel Funeral Home, sold his business to Harold Wakeman, who then formed Gugel-Wakeman Funeral Home, (now known as Wakeman Funeral Home). Mr. Gugel did not include his business burial records with the sale, rather he kept them private. Over the years, many have wondered what happened to these records.
