At a recent SGS public meeting that Deisler Funeral Homes and W.L. Case's Funeral Homes presented to the SGS,
It was noted that Balthas Gugel, a licensed funeral director that once owned and operated Gugel Funeral Home, sold his business to Harold Wakeman, who then formed the 'Gugel-Wakeman' Funeral Home, (now known as Wakeman Funeral Home).
Mr. Gugel did not include his business burial records with the sale, rather he kept them private.
