A little about BridgeportWhat is now Bridgeport was first called “The Bend of the Cass” or “Cass Bend” owning to the fact that the Cass River makes a sharp bend at the site of the village. The township of Bridgeport is one of the oldest in Saginaw County, the first settlers having come to that place about the year 1835.
The document below was first printed in 1912 by T. J Pollen, and was retyped and printed in 1978 by the Saginaw Genealogical Society. We place it here for your reading pleasure in 2015. |
